0.3.0 Update - Layout's Here!


Hello everyone!

I've been nothing short of thrilled to see the fantastic reception that Iphigenia at Midnight has received from the wider Lancer community - having a passion project of mine obtain widespread attention and interest has been incredibly rewarding, as well as hearing stories from various groups planning on or already playing through the module. However, I'm not done yet! This represents probably the most major update you'll see during this early access phase before the addition of art, and could only have been made possible by the fantastic Lancer RPG Template by Valkyrion: a clean layout in the style of Lancer's own first-party modules.

Other changes have been made to some mechanical elements of the module and its attached licenses, which are enumerated below.

0.2.0 -> 0.3.0 Changelog

  • Added explanation for how much players should know about Strengths and Weaknesses in Hardsuit Combat
  • Elaborated on the flatcar design for Scene 3-1's map
  • Fixed the description for the Supply Cache Beacon saying "repair capacity" instead of "repairs".
  • Hardsuit combat failure changed to 9 or less instead of 1-9
  • Clarified that the HORUS Spectre's Only I trait doesn't change the location of template attacks
  • Removed teleporting from the HORUS Spectre's Needle and Thread System, as this interacted unfavorably with the HA Sunzi
  • Clarified that the Morozko NPC's Coolant Hose weapon can be chosen to be fired in either of two template modes when an attack is declared
  • Hardsuit combat in Scene 1-5 adjusted to smooth out the inflicted Stress curve
  • Clademaster NPCs get +1 Energy damage baseline on their optional Chemical Sprayer to clarify what damage giving them optionals like Deadly is intended to add
  • Clademaster NPCs are now Size 2 to appropriately match Worldkiller and Haber scaling
  • Accomplishing 1-5 permanently locks open all Bulkhead Doors on the Gallipoli as evacuation protocols start
  • Fancy-Looking Official Layout time!
  • The above means various things have been added and shifted around, in the vein of minor details like "adding two-word titles for Prologue encounters"…
  • … and more major things, like "each mission now has a few sentences of GM briefing describing the mission, in the style of the first-party modules like NRFaW".
  • Also, some phrasing/grammar edits. We have en-dashes now.
